Trustee
& Notification Overview:
To begin using the School Administration sections of Viatouch,
a district "root trustee" must be appointed by the school
district. Viatouch will then activate the district notification
system for your school district. Once the district root trustee
is established in the Viatouch database, the district may begin
using the notification system as well as adding additional trustees
at the district and school levels.
Once district
and school trustees are established, the district and schools
may begin using the notification system. All district trustees
(root, primary and secondary) with notification abilities may
send notification emails to parents of the entire district or
to parents of any specified school. School trustees may only send
emails to parents of students at that particular school. All school
trustees (root, primary, and secondary) with notification abilities
may send notification emails to parents of children who attend
that school.
Email notifications
may be sent to specified groups of children at the district or
school level. Notifications may be targeted to parents of children
in a particular grade level or by gender at both the district
and/or school levels.
All district
trustees will be able to query and review all notifications sent
by all trustees of the entire district, including those sent by
school trustees. School trustees have the ability to query and
review all notifications sent by all trustees in their particular
school. School trustees do not have the ability to query or review
notifications done at the district level.
